Nobody needs to go to 8 shops in a week, and it's definitely not essential to visit B&Q just to obtain some colour charts.

Get over it

Its a fluff article

I couldnt care less

OneandTwenty · 17/05/2020 16:34

the "lockdown" is lifted, shops are reopening, tourists are wandering, and schools will open too in a couple of weeks - because it makes sense to wait until after half term.

The time to complain about non-essential trips and shopping is gone I am afraid! We've moved on now.

MadameButterface · 17/05/2020 16:34

It’s an article about spending money, they’re not going to do it about someone who is like ‘i bought my weekly food shopping it cost £75 in sainsburys then nothing else happened’ are they?

Besides this woman is still having to go to work in an office every day, she’s out of the house any way, she probably doesn’t see why she should mooch round a shop or two, if its fine to be in an office ‘with social distancing measures in place’ then surely the same holds true for shops? Maybe your anger would be better directed at her employer

And so the R rises.

SconNotScone · 17/05/2020 17:35

I knew you would be talking about this article! I read it this morning and had the exact same thoughts as you OP.

I generally can’t get too worked up about people going to a couple of shops each week to get everything they need, but really couldn’t believe that she felt the need to go to 8 shops in one week. I thought it was an irresponsible article too.

But now I really need an m and s espresso martini 🤣

Nearlyoldenoughtowearpurple · 17/05/2020 17:50

Sorry , just to clarify , that wasn't sarcasm , actually craving one now !

2bazookas · 17/05/2020 17:55

Lockdown is NOT lifted in Scotland, where Bex lives. She's supposed to be limiting all trips outside.

newroundhere · 17/05/2020 17:55

I thought exactly the same!

ChangeThePassword · 17/05/2020 18:13

the "lockdown" is lifted

She's in Dundee. No lockdown easing happening there.

JemimaPuddleCat · 17/05/2020 18:36

@OneandTwenty

You know not everyone lives in England, yeah? That includes the author of the article. Lockdown is very much still not "lifted" where she lives.

JemimaPuddleCat · 17/05/2020 18:37

Sorry, I somehow missed the last few replies and repeated what others have said Blush
