God it’s so fucking boring! What are people actually doing with their time?

I got up at 7am. Lounged on the couch until 9am. Took the dog for a walk, got back at 10am.

Since then I’ve hoovered up, polished and put a wash on. And it’s still not even 12pm 😩

It's chucking it down here today Sad

We have a 3yo, a puppy and another baby on the way so we're never short of things to do but it's much easier when it's dry!

cardibach · 17/05/2020 12:12

Got up slowly with tea in bad and a browse of social media, then brioche and coffee on the sofa. Did an hour’s free yoga class from 10-11 on Wild Thing Cardiff’s Instagram. Spoke on the phone to my sister, messaged a few friends.
Going to get dressed now and read for a bit then have lunch and go for a walk in the recently opened park. Need to hoover and dust, but that will be an absolutely last option as I hate housework. More reading, a few emails I need to send, maybe watch some tv...
I’m mostly not bored at all, but I’ve always been happy to bumble about on my own achieving very little tangible...
For exercise I mostly use Yoga with Adriene free on YouTube but there are loads of classes of all sorts. Just search.

@Phifedean123
I managed a trip to the sea for a week just prior to lockdown and count myself very lucky.
How lovely to have it on your doorstep!
No children to amuse now but just had a very long walk in beautiful countryside meeting other dog owners for socially distanced walking . Bluebell Woods and riverside all within walking distance of home. Very pleasant way to spend time . Every day the same with household chores at the bare minimum . Never get bored .
But was never allowed to when I was a child- so never acquired the habit OP .

PrincessHoneysuckle · 17/05/2020 12:14

Watched dh mow the lawn, drank coffee now making lunch

SquishyBones · 17/05/2020 12:15

Oh I forgot, I built my house on the Sims 4 earlier. That was quite entertaining. Will be weird when I put a family in there and watch them walking around my house. The bloody kids better not start chucking paint on the floor ...

Not long up. Drinking tea in pj's listening to radio. Trying to summon energy to get started on painting outbuilding

PumpkinPie2016 · 17/05/2020 12:19

Got up at 7.30am and had a cup of tea, slowly.

Went for a run.

Came back and showered and then have tidied up downstairs.

Not done anything else yet. Will probably do some work later this afternoon.

Truthpact · 17/05/2020 12:20

Nothing so far. Need to clean the house a bit, go for a walk, have a shower, make dinner. Might make some biscuits again later but might be too lazy. Grin

Lemonblast · 17/05/2020 12:21

I’m with you on the daytime movie guilt!
I’m actually still working fulltime but really struggle with downing tools on days off. Can’t actually DO any more decorating, gardening or decluttering so am having to learn to relax!

NannyR · 17/05/2020 12:22

Cooked breakfast and a big pot of coffee, two loads of laundry, cleaning, church service on facebook, just about to go out for a walk. Probably sofa and tv this afternoon.

YouTheCat · 17/05/2020 12:22

I love Sims. I got up before 9. Sat about, drinking coffee. Did some yoga and had a shower. Read for a bit and then bunged some cinnamon whirls in the oven. I've done a few logic games and had a bash at Duolingo.

Off for a half hour walk shortly and then I'll have some lunch and put a film/series on. Probably read some more later.

Winterwoollies · 17/05/2020 12:23

Tended the farm, stuck a roast in the oven, walked the dog, had a trillion cups of tea and coffee and watched a gardening programme. A very Sundayish Sunday so far.

crosser62 · 17/05/2020 12:27

Couldn’t sleep so up at 2am.
Tired now so watched a Lucy Wordsley thing on photography and the royals in bed.
Had a horrendously busy and stressful week at work, aching and dog tired today.

This afternoon I’m going to try and wrangle our of a night shift tonight.
Got a mountain of washing to do, the house is a tip but can’t be arsed to move.

Littleshortcake · 17/05/2020 12:27

Happy Birthday Walnut. You're right ok it's so so fucking boring and can empathise.
I lay in until 10am which was lovely. Pepper dinner (garlic chicken roast spuds and veg)

There isn't much more I can do. I have to do a small bit of work (an hour max) later and might do a shellac or lumea with my new equipment.

Hushabusha · 17/05/2020 12:28

Breakfast, shower, bitta work, cuppa & choc toddler now napping so will do more work

Gigia · 17/05/2020 12:29

Woke up at 5.30am and couldn't get back to sleep.
Watched Netflix and drank coffee
Walked the dog
Did a food shop
After lunch I plan to do some housework followed by a workout.
This evening I am going to dye my roots, paint my toes and chill out watching tv.

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 17/05/2020 12:30

I woke up at 5. Went for a 15 mile run. Done a couple of hours work. Now wondering what to do. It's very cold and grey here in Yorkshire.

Illbedownatthegardenwithmum · 17/05/2020 12:35

I have done so much over the past months, but this last week my energy levels have plummeted.

Ohffs66 · 17/05/2020 12:36

Made breakfast. Two episodes of Normal People. Painted a door. Hung some pictures. Had a cup of tea and a cake. Spoken to my mum. Done a wash and hung it out. The house is a tip but I can't be bothered with any actual cleaning.

Bargainhuntbore · 17/05/2020 12:39

Up at 6.
10k mountain run
Breakfast
20 HIIT class -was gonna do yoga but wanted more.
Kitchen & utility cleaned
Living room

Now eating lunch. DH out doing sheep stuff and kids in bed.

Oysterbabe · 17/05/2020 12:45

I got up and ran 10k and then DH and the kids washed the car while I walked to the supermarket. We're about to drive to a different park for a change of scenery. There's a lake so we'll walk round that and feed the ducks. The kids are excited as they haven't been in the car since lockdown. When we get back I'll make a roast while DH entertains the kids. I'll try and sneak down to the allotment to do some watering at some point.

zscaler · 17/05/2020 12:47

Had a lie in, did the crossword, made a chocolate tart, went for a walk. Going to watch a film now and dream about the days when we could go and do things!

Justgivemesomepeace · 17/05/2020 12:49

Cleaned the bathroom and had a row with DP about why he needs 3 golf bags cluttering up the shed. Made lunch, rang my dad. Will be going out to pick up some shopping for him and his elderly friend and dropping it off. Life in the fast lane....

ginsparkles · 17/05/2020 12:53

Got up, took the dog for a lovely long walk. Watched a couple of episodes of old house, new home and got inspiration for redoing our house. Just having lunch and then rearranging DD's bedroom and playroom as that's what she's asked for, for her birthday next week.
