Long-time lurker here.
Basically, I was speaking to an aunt a few weeks ago. She had been made power of attorney for an elderly friend of the family. This elderly person will eventually leave £1m to her nieces and nephews that have never even met her (split between them).
AIBU to think that whilst money isn't everything and of course love and family matter more than anything, wouldn't it be so nice if a rich relative could pop out of the woodwork and leave me a few quid in these hard times??
