Is it any wonder MH is bad?

8 weeks in and the comments about peoples MH are getting more prolific, but is it any wonder? Every time I turn on the TV it is the ONLY thing that is discussed. I often wonder what would be on the news if C19 hadn't happened, Brexit I suppose, that's gone completely silent! I think it is time for programmes to ease back and start dealing with other items to enable people to forget about it - if only for a few minutes. Anyone agree?

Afghanistan peace talks are likely to be off the table. There's been a huge increase in terrorist attacks yet none of it has made the headlines in mainstream news over here.

The World is still happening, we are just not hearing about it.

Yes, I agree. I look to other sources for my news now.

It definitely doesn't help. I haven't been able to watch GMB all week because Piers Morgan, who I usually don't mind, is stressing me out. It's like he's thriving off the drama of it, Christ knows what he'll do if we ever get back to normal.
There is no escape from it. It's the first thing you discuss when you see anyone, it's all over the news and social media.
I've really, really struggled this week, the constant discussion of it hasn't helped, but I think I've just hit my limit now.

It's just incessant, adverts, programmes, news, everything. The only break I get is watching Corrie and then I'm thinking 'why aren't they 2m apart!' then realise they were recorded months ago. Interesting to see when they will start mentioning it, but unsure how they will have any story lines when they can't interact with their neighbours!

Even the adverts are all about it now you can’t get a break. Every tv show seems to have a message to tell you this was filmed before new guidelines.
I actually mute the tv now if a nationwide ad comes on.

I know I thought this at the start. I wasn't expecting adverts about it all but there they were every single ad break. When I wanted was to forget about it.
I hate it all

AllNewThings · 16/05/2020 23:47

I feel like this too. There's no escape from it. Every time the adverts come on, it's like being walloped in the face with it. It's making me very anxious.

And all the fucking smiley lockdown adverts when I absolutely hate lockdown
I'm not having fun on my lockdown
