What vegetable is this (photo)???

Please help me identify a vegetable in my new veg box
I'm 52 and somehow do not know this one!!!

If it’s a riverford box it’s pink bottomed true spinach.

Yep, spinach, I had it in my Riverford box last week.

Calabrese is just broccoli - the normal stuff, not purple sprouting.

Baby chard.

I had some spinach a bit like that,it came from France,, also had some French kale that looked totally different to the norm.

Yes river ford box so it's spinach then presumably which is great news although now I will know what to do with chard too which I've also never cooked before!

The calabrese mystery is also solved as there is briccoli in the box too

Does it have a lemony citrus taste? It could be sorrel.

The leaf shape is different for sorrel.

They usually include a recipe card in with the box to give you some ideas how to cook things. We got a booklet when we first signed up as well with pictures of all the veg. Lots of stuff on the website too.
