Would you report someone for having a party at the minute?

I’ll probably get told to mind my own business but hear me out.

A Facebook friend of mine is posting videos and photos of her and her friends at her house drinking and having parties a few times a week.

I know her quite well and I know she’s a key worker working with the public (not a hospital or anything) but she also has vulnerable family members.

Would you report?

Yes.

hotstepper4 · 14/05/2020 20:21

Yes without hesitation. If people continue to be this selfish it's just going to keep getting worse for us.

WhenISnappedAndFarted · 14/05/2020 20:22

Yes I would as well.

Sonichu · 14/05/2020 20:24

No

Daphnise · 14/05/2020 20:24

No, because the consequences may backfire on you, leaving you really regretting it.

mag12 · 14/05/2020 20:24

Even if I’m not actually witnessing (or hearing it in person. She lives in another town I’m only seeing photos and videos! She should know better 😳

It would be anonymously of course. She has lots of Facebook friends and lots of neighbours. Could be anyone.. I know the area she lives and I’ll be very surprised if no one else reports her as well!

If this is genuine, yes probably.

AndMyHairWillShineLikeTheSea · 14/05/2020 20:26

The law doesn't cover gatherings in private residences.

Bertucci · 14/05/2020 20:30

No. Too busybody.

I also have a FB friend - a senior person in children's services who posts drunken pics of gatherings at her house. I think 'wtf' but report her? No.

CoronaIsComing · 14/05/2020 20:31

A party, yes everyone she has one. If it was just one or two family members sitting in the garden at a social distance then no now.

Spillinteas · 14/05/2020 20:33

Guess who was teacher’s pet Hmm

I thought you were actually going to say you neighbour and the music was loud. But no your going to snitch anonymously...

1066vegan · 14/05/2020 20:35

I'd be tempted. It's not being a busybody; this kind of stupid and selfish behaviour affects everyone. But I don't know if there's any point. Have the police got enough manpower to do anything about things like this?

NoHardSell · 14/05/2020 20:38

Do what you want. No one is going to do anything about it

heartsonacake · 14/05/2020 20:41

Of course I would, and I wouldn’t be doing it anonymously either. If you’re going to report her at least be brave enough to tell her.

papiermaches · 14/05/2020 20:41

it's a shame you can;t report people for stupidity - the posting on FB I mean. Unless they're old photos?

Samtsirch · 14/05/2020 20:56

That’s what I thought too, she could be posting old pics to either cheer people up or wind people up.
I wouldn’t report, how would it help anyone
?

recycledteenager24 · 14/05/2020 20:58

and my hair i don't think that is actually correct unless it's only members of the same household.

Oblomov20 · 14/05/2020 21:00

My boss told me today that after the VE Day celebrations, everyone came to his garden for a party till 4am.

Utterlydespairing · 14/05/2020 21:02

No

pictish · 14/05/2020 21:04

No I wouldn’t report them.

AndMyHairWillShineLikeTheSea · 14/05/2020 21:08

It is, I wasn't sure earlier so I checked with a judge I know. It's certainly true in Scotland anyway I don't think it's any different in the rUK. The police have no powers to fine people for gatherings in their own household - only in public places.
The mixing household etc is only guidance.

Mum2jenny · 14/05/2020 21:08

No, I’m not a snitch.

She’s an adult and I’m assuming so are her friends - their choice totally. A lot of the rules are not logical at all, so I’d keep my beak out!

mag12 · 14/05/2020 21:08

It’s not old photos. The status on social
Media gives that away.

If it was the first time but no it’s the 4th time so it’s really bloody annoyed me!

When she works with the public too! And likes to tell everyone she’s a key worker too!

I won’t report but jeez it seems crap that most of us are sticking to the rules. She’s always though she’s above everyone else!
