To think she should be given a choice

My dd 25 is diagnosed with traits of eupd. This to me and to her is obviously not a full diagnosis as you have to have at least five. Despite this the local mental health team are refusing to give her therapy unless she does group therapy for people with personality disorders. She’s also diagnosed with depression and anxiety so doesn’t understand why they are pushing this treatment on her. The people in this group also suffer with problems with other drugs and alcohol which obviously although this isn’t their fault would be a huge trigger to her due to the situation with her father. She’s raised it with her consultant to re not actually being diagnosed with eupd. The consultant replied and said she certainly noticed traits in her. She’s frustrated as having traits of a condition doesn’t mean you have it.

I don't know what generally the procedure is, but I wonder if you might get a response if you copy and paste this, and put it in the Mental Health section, where there are more likely to be people familiar with the system maybe?
