Hairy face!

Hi! Not really an aibu but I need some help!
I have a pretty hairy face in normal times so every 4 weeks I get my eyebrows, too lip, chin, neck and sideburns threaded.
It’s now been 8 weeks since it was last done and It’s so long!! I know it’s completely natural it’s just something I like to get done to boost my confidence a bit!
So what is everyone else doing? I don’t think I can wax it - think I’d chicken out! Should I buy a no no? Help!

I’ve got a furry face although luckily it’s blonde (other than the odd thick black chin hair) and I use one of the springy things. It was only a couple of pounds but it works a treat and is super satisfying Grin

I've got a full beard (genuinely, I've got hirtuism). I wax my face, neck, chest and upper arms about once a fortnight atm and then shave my back, stomach, lower arms, underarms and legs regularly. I am saving to buy an EPL machine in the longer term mind as it's such a faff on!

Tweeze the wiry chin hairs, wax or VEET the tache, pluck the eyebrows and derma plane the fuzzy face with a scrapy thing.

I bought a Braun facial epilator from Ocado for my upper lip. The eyebrows I’m letting do their own thing. Maybe it would be a good thing for the threading lady to have a blank slate when I go back.

I started derma planing on Monday, first time ever and I did it myself at home. I am never going back! Amazing! My face was so furry before that I couldn't wear foundation as it clumped. My face is now so smooth and make up goes on perfectly. Really easy to do and takes a few minutes. I ordered mine from Amazon for under £5.

Arrhh thanks everyone - nice to know I’m not the only one as well!

I have a hairy face too - peach fuzz, but SO much of it, and it has been longer since menopause.

I shaved it all off once - it didn't grow back any differently, except it was all the same length for a while. And it took way longer than a day to grow back - more like 2 weeks.

I was counting the days til it grew back - I didn't like how jowly I looked without it. But I reckon from my experience you could shave without a problem - unless your hairs are very dark - which it doesn't sound as though they are if you only get them done every 4 weeks.

I epilate my chin, neck and top lip. I'm only 35. I shouldn't be this hairy :(

Witchlight · 13/05/2020 22:21

If the hair is dark and the skin fair, a Philips Lumea is brilliant. The only time in my life that I thanked having this combination!

I don't have this specific one but very similar. A bit painful but satisfying Grin

I shave my lip and whole chin (beard) area once a week or once a fortnight. Every day or two I use Tweezerman tweezers to pluck the regrowth. I‘ve been doing it for about three years and seem to get a lot less regrowth than I used to - I don’t know if it’s because the roots have been weakened from continual plucking, hormonal changes, or extensive experience meaning it is quicker to do so seems less.
Cheap, easy, effective and doesn’t require planning for holidays

I discovered dermaplaining the other day. Omg. It's amazing. And painless. Problem is that my skin feels so soft I can't stop touching it! And it's got rid of some hairs in a mole that I couldn't get rid of!
