My daughter is a front line nurse.
Last month she contacted Covid-19, which fortunately she recovered from, but is still feeling the effects of.
Last week a pipe burst in her downstairs bathroom overnight while she and her husband were asleep and flooded her out.
Last night she went to go to work and found some low life had stolen her car!!
I'm angry, so angry at the low lived scumbag.
I hope they find her car wrapped round a tree with the scum thief crippled inside it.
That is all.

Dont have time to read through all replies so this may be me repeating what's been said but Arnold Clark in my area was giving courtesy cars for free to frontline workers who needed them. Maybe worth checking if she can get on if she has no other transport. Hopefully her run of bad luck will change now bless her.

Why are people so damn PIOUS these days. One time a bunch of cunty teenagers attacked my lovely old dad, shoved him over in the street so he came in thankfully not seriously hurt, but with his hands and knees all cut up. For days I fantasised about passing them bombing along the pavement (like the utter cunts they were) and shoving something through their wheel spokes so they catapulted over their handlebars and splatted on the pavement. Anyone who claims not to have violent fantasies about people who senselessly hurt a loved one is lying. Or one of those people so blank and boring that you suspect a crucial part of their frontal lobe is missing.

Sorry for your daughter OP. Sometimes it's harder to watch than it is to experience, if that's the tiniest bit of comfort. It'll all feel a lot better in a few weeks Flowers

I'm not perfect but I've never wished for anyone to be crippled. That is vile.

OP's DD is a nurse, she'd probably end up nursing the crippled thief, I'm sure she'd think that was a great result.

The car is a "thing" it can be replaced, hopefully it was fully insured, yes it is a nuisance but crippling someone? No that isn't appropriate.

They’ll never know the joys of life that will be part of your daughter’s normal existence. Or it could be a daft kid who has done something out of character that they will never do again and they will go on to have a great life and be a useful member of society.

Do pass on my sympathies to the tree if they do.

I get you OP, and your poor daughter. I assume the lifting of some restrictions means the shitheads that couldn’t roam the streets unnoticed are now back out their robbing houses and nicking cars for their getaways.

Hope it turns Undamaged x

to be entirely fair, I doubt the car thief knew he was stealing the car of a frontline NHS worker. He was just stealing a car. But I'm sorry for your daughter who must feel mighty pissed off.

@1forsorrow Of course I wouldn't wish it for anyone in reality, but I'm so angry.
I couldn't see my daughter when she was ill, I couldn't help her when she was flooded and I can't give her a cuddle and stroke her lovely hair with this. Naturally I'm going to wish ill will on the thief in my emotion. Sorry if you think that makes me a terrible person.
@QuimReaper Your poor Father, I hope he made a good recovery.
Thank you all again for your kind words.

Pretty vile thing to say really and a bit of a slap in the face to us actual wheelchair users.
Yes thieving is horrible but you've no idea what anyone else is going through or the reasons why they've done such a thing...

YAVVVU for that.

I disagree. Actions should have consequences.

@1forsorrow, the OP has been left reeling by seeing her daughter suffer most horribly. The car thief, whether he is or isn’t a “daft kid” won’t be reading this thread, so doesn’t need defending, or an understanding ear. The OP isn’t vile for being so angry she wants something horrible to happen to someone who has compounded the family’s suffering; she is human. She’s not planning on conducting her own investigation, followed by attacking the thief. She’s just venting.

@Ibelieveinyesterday There is no reason to steal someone's property, especially a car.
Not to drip feed, I didn't mention it because it didn't seem relevant to my post, however my daughters husband is blind. The car was a motability car.
As I say, irrelevant to my post as it is about her run of horrible things that have happened to her, culminating in that and how low some people can be.
Thank you all again for your kind words.

Your family clearly has the privilege of an education and the opportunity to make life choices that improve their circumstances. Many don't, yet you see fit to judge others from your point of privilege and wonder why not everyone is seemingly as perfect as you?

Yes, talk about a drip feed. Even worse frankly that you are close to someone with a disability and you'd still wish it on someone else.

And before you judge any further, my brother was stabbed as a teen by a grown man and very nearly lost his life. At no point did I stoop to your level.

Op that's horrible to wish harm on another person.

The person that took the car might have needed it just to sell for scrap to buy some food for their family.

You don't know what others are going through so concentrate on your own life. It's just a car. Insurance will cover it.

Very well put. I'm really holding back saying exactly what I think of the OP as she's stressed, but it's not nice!

That's horrible. It goes to show that some people haven't any moral compass at all.
The lady that died being spat also horrified me. People disappoint and anger me so much.
I'm sorry and I hope your daughters insurance is quick to pay out.
I'm always grateful to all key workers it must be so stressful at the moment without all that going on as well.
