So I bought two pairs of leggings last month. Forgot to cancel the vip doodah, so they charged me £49 this month and I cannot select ANY leggings on their website in my size apart from the exact same ones I bought last month, which are more ££ as I’ve now opted out of the vip scheme (con). Anyone else found this? Am I destined to never see that £49 again? (They won’t refund either) 🤬

My daughter was signed up for over a year. She had some amazing funky leggings that really do last. Also some decent socks.
She phoned and cancelled in the end. I’m sure she said if she forgot to order or postpone they charged her and she spent the following month. So no idea why you have no choice.

It’s not a con though is it? Because they state when you sign up that you’re committing to a monthly membership, however you can opt out each month and never have to pay any more. The fact that you forgot to do that doesn’t make it a con.

I did the VIP membership thing a few years back, forgot to skip the payments loads of times and spent more than I wanted. However, that was entirely my own fault, and the clothes themselves were great quality. I cancelled in the end because I couldn’t afford to keep paying 40 odd quid.

That £49 can stay in your account with them until they have something in stock you like, then you can cancel 🤷🏻‍♀️

It's a bizarre business model but it doesn't sound like you were unaware that they were going to charge you every month, so you weren't conned.

If you're not organised enough to remember to keep skipping the monthly payments then perhaps it is better to buy leggings from other suppliers?
