When you look up a recipe do you always need to go and buy EVERY single ingredient?
Or do you only need the main ingredient...like the meat (and possibly one other item)?

I tend to adapt or puddle through with what I have in the cupboard.

However, before all this, if it was a special meal for my parents or for a celebration, I’d do my best to get each ingredient.

I'd get most of the ingredients, but leave out the ones I don't like
Taste it
Then add what I thought it needed

I'm a food lover so we've usually got most ingredients in the cupboard and just need the 'main' bits.

If we're having people over I'll have a menu in mind and buy everything.

I need to have all the ingredients and worry it will be ruined if I don’t. I am also aware that’s ridiculous.

I usually have all the herbs and spices in. Might need meat or veg sometimes. I have pretty well stocked cupboards.

If it’s savoury or pudding I usually just go with the flow depending on what I have in. If it’s baking - pies, breads, cakes etc I follow the recipe - substitutions can sometimes cause chaos.
