To ask you about Tequila?

Can tell what I'm spending my time doing....

I want to get a bottle of tequila as it's my favourite shot when I'm out. But I have no idea what brand is it I get when I'm in a bar?

I'm also partial to a cafe patron. But I want one to shot with salt and lemon. Patron silver is quite pricey is there any decent ones under £25?

Ideally that I can buy on amazon.

Would recommend 1800 silver, it's nearer £30 but is probably most similar to patron without spending more money.

In a bar to be honest you probably get served Sierra or Jose cuervo. Jose cuervo is probably the better of the budget options, or cazcabel would be another option for under £25

I was going to say get a reposado but if it's to shot you may as well stick with a silver, you don't need to spend a lot because you aren't going for flavour as you planning to salt and lemon I'm pretty sure the supermarkets often have offers on.

I've been to Mexico a few times with work and my experience is they sip a good tequila with a tomato juice to sip in between, yummy

Patron is not tequila.

I think it’s a tequila based spirit made in America. We were out with Mexican friends and bought them Patron - they were extremely offended!

Patrón is tequila. Jose Cuervo Is what’s mainly in bars.

@Laaalaaaa @BearBearBearBear it was made in Mexico until they sold it to Bacardi who moved to distillery to America, it’s still tequila just not made in Mexico anymore.

I love a tequila with tonic water and some lemon.

I got the one from marks and spencer at Christmas was very nice as shots.

Jose gold was the most popular in the bar that I ran , but we also sold Don Julio .
If you want to drink it as shots try squeeze lemon or lime into a small shallow bowl dip the rim of the glass into it then into fine salt , then carefully fill with your preferred brand.

Or drink it long equal measures of tequila and limoncello and 4x the amount of soda , ice cold . ( put the bottles in the freezer for at least half a hr

I did actually go to primary school with a girl called tequila.. I didn't seem at all weird at the time, does now!!
