Am I right? Extended furlough

I’m on furlough at the moment and listened to what the Chancellor said earlier. Am I right in thinking that it’s been extended until the end of July as things stand now? From August - October my employer would have contribute to the cost by allowing me to work part time or make me redundant?

My employer isn’t making any money. Which is why I’ve been furloughed. They heard it differently to me. That from start of July they will have to contribute to my wages which they can’t afford to do. So will make me redundant from that date.

Just checking who has understood the rules correctly?

I think it’s that the scheme will continue as it is until end of July, the from August the company will have to pay part of your 80%. They haven’t yet said what the split will be for the 80%.

So they are wrong as it’s from August and not from July as they think, but also correct that they will have to contribute to your wages.

That’s what I thought. Oh well at least the extra month will give me more time to try and find another job.
