I know but AIBU - and I’m unreasonable for that alone, but this gets so much traffic I thought i would ask here.

I would like to go back on the pill but I’m not sure which - I was on depo for years but that gave me horrendous weight gain and very bad acne. Can I ask which pill worked best for you?

Thanks everyone.

Hey - I've been on Microgynon for six years or so, and was on Cilest (think it's called Cilique now) for four or five years before that. Both combined pill, though slightly different hormones, had no problem with either of them. Though it was quite hard work for a week or two when I changed between them (had to, as I was in a different country that didn't use Cilest), my emotions went all over the place!

Mind you, I've been on the pill for most of my adult life, so who knows, maybe all my character flaws are actually due to the hormones!

Probably best not to ask mumsnet. Most people on here have had contraception failures

You really need to ask your doctor, not MN. Which is best for me will not necessarily be best for you. Plus you can't have some pills if you have certain contraindications.

I take the pop. It has to be taken same time, every day. But I find I don't get any side effects from it as its just progesterone.

I am not in a relationship either, so I use condoms with sexual partners. The pop is just my back up.
