Not trolling here looking for genuine opinions.

Just what the title says really. I'm getting bored of the four walls so we're toying with taking a hamper and a bottle of wine to the park this Saturday. I've been working pretty much 7 day weeks from home but have a free weekend this week and he's had some sad Covid-related news in the family and can't see them so we could both do with cheering up. We can't go to restaurants/bars etc so I thought this might be a good alternative but I'm a bit Hmm about whether we'd get funny looks. But is it no different to sunbathing, which we are now allowed to do?

Picnics with your household is fine from Weds I think so long as you stay 2m from anyone else.

Weston14 · 11/05/2020 21:25

@CaryStoppins I thought so. It's a big old park so that shouldn't be an issue.

It's allowed from Wednesday.

Abbccc · 11/05/2020 21:25

Yes but I don't think you should share food, cups etc

Oly4 · 11/05/2020 21:26

Yes this is allowed as long. As you’re not meeting other groups of people

Mammyloveswine · 11/05/2020 21:26

@Abbccc they live together so it's fine to share a picnic... according to the guidance...

Abbccc · 11/05/2020 21:28

Oh dear, sorry, didn't read the title properly! Yes, sounds like a lovely idea.

Minesacider · 11/05/2020 21:29

Depends where you live. In England it'll be allowable.

OneMomentInHistory · 11/05/2020 21:33

Absolutely fine if you're in England. Only issue may be the parks are likely to get pretty busy.
