to think Boris Johnson couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery?

He would probably brief about it. Send up a few trial balloons about the venue and the time. See the reaction.

Then his colleagues who want something else would leak about the beer they wanted instead.

He would then announce it. But then forget to include someone. Or forget that another important event was on like a wedding. So he would need to give more details.

Then he would refuse to answer questions from one of the more perceptive family members

But lots of his supporters would say that the invitation was perfectly clear and we all now what would have happened if someone else Corbyn had tried to organise it and just look at the support he has.

He is exceptionally good at the Tory art of saying a lot but committing himself to fuck all.
I imagine the party faithful are very pleased at his performance.

So what are you doing op? What canvassing are you doing what constituency are you planning on standing for? Can we see the blueprint you have drawn up to cope with the crisis?
Or is it just easier to come online and complain about how terrible everything is?

I wouldn't want to be in charge.

But I do expect the people in charge to be able to deliver a clear message and to have an effective communications strategy in place. It's what is expected of any Government.

You're being very unreasonable, deluded even, if you think politicians are capable of that.

You expect that from a UK politician? You are delusional.

araiwa · 11/05/2020 10:55

When you elect a known liar and cheat on a polulist agenda fueled by lies, can you be surprised by it being a total shit show. See also usa

MissBattleaxe · 11/05/2020 10:55

Fairyliz, of course you can complain about the government without standing as an MP. There would be no online forums or social media if we couldn't.

Mayra1367 · 11/05/2020 10:59

Boris and Co need to get a grip . Stop the mixed messages, stop exaggerating their achievements , stop the secret briefings to favoured media and stop contradicting themselves.

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 11/05/2020 11:12

He is a beneficiary of over a thousand years of being ruled by a bunch of foreign interlopers who can't speak English properly.

If you talk bollocks in a posh accent, people follow you in awe.

It's genetic.

JudyCoolibar · 11/05/2020 11:13

He'd also get his minions to keep making claims about how the rest of the world is envious of brewery piss-ups as organised by him, even whilst the rest of the world was looking on aghast.

ThrowingGoodAfterBad · 11/05/2020 14:06

Mockers Grin
And Sad because you’re so right.

These people have made a religion out of not organising - ‘laissez-faire’. They haven’t got where they are by proving competence and working up, they’ve got where they are by having generations of ancestors who have exploited and abused the rest of us, protecting their own wealth and property, and calling that ‘law’. By definition, the op is correct.
