To ask when the GPS will open

I really need my implant taken out. Long heavy period and constant headaches. I need this thing out of my arm. Do we have any idea when that will be? Doctors have prescribed me the pill which isn't help.

GPs are open mostly for emergencies your situation may come under that, why don't you ring your surgery and ask for a call back from your GP, I know a few people including my DH who have had telephone appointments

Unfortunately it's not classed as an emergency. I phone two weeks ago and spoke to a GP. I was told to take the pill and call back as soon as they were open. Nothing has been said tonight about when that might be. I am on week 3 of a bleed and week 2 of the pill and the end doesn't look very near at all. It's so frustrating!

AIBU can't tell you, each surgery will be different. You need to speak to yours.

greensnail · 10/05/2020 23:02

I would ring them again tomorrow and explain you are still bleeding and need to be seen.

GrumpyHoonMain · 10/05/2020 23:09

They should all be open or be able to direct you to another GP surgery.

Aberforthsgoat · 10/05/2020 23:11

Mine has stayed open? You have to be triaged but I was able to get contraception. A friend has had her baby seen due to an issue.
I would push on that it sounds urgent to me

Waveysnail · 10/05/2020 23:18

How long have you had it in?

Ifihadapoundd · 11/05/2020 07:52

Will ring again this morning and see what they say. I have had it in just over a year, but am still breastfeeding so my periods only started again at Christmas when DS dropped all day time feeds.
