To ask about my sons behaviour?

Hey everyone,

I have a 6 year old son and I’ve started to become a bit concerned about his behaviour recently.

He has zero chill. He can’t watch a film without bouncing around and in general he just can’t seem to sit still for longer than 5/10 minutes! We do a lot of walking/bike rides etc together but he just doesn’t seem to get worn out and it’s like he needs to be doing something all of the time otherwise he’s “bored”. Bedtimes are a bit of a nightmare he just doesn’t seem ‘tired’ obviously he is tired but can’t seem to settle!

It has been happening since before lockdown but obviously being with him all day every day it has alerted me a bit more. One of his teachers said he does his work at school but he can’t seem to sit still. His other teacher didn’t comment on it (not did I ask as I wasn’t overly concerned at this point).

Has anyone got any advice? Will he grow out of this or should I try and see someone once lockdown is over and done with?

I wouldn’t worry about it at this stage. We are living in a world - where people love to thrown ADHD, autistic etc out there for kids that aren’t perfect.

Try and think of activities to tire him out and don’t worry about it.
