Worried my 18 month old has diabetes

Ok first I am an anxious person and I do have a history of health anxiety, so please be kind.

I’ve noticed my 18 month old DS has a very heavy nappy often. He’s been drinking more than usual due to the heat, but he seems thirsty more than usual.
He’s always wanting snacks too.
I also noticed online it said behavioural changes were a sign, he’s very often moody and grumpy these days, regular mood swings. But of course all these things are also signs of a toddler nearing the terrible twos as well!
He’s not losing weight and he has a lot of energy, so not particularly tired either. He can walk miles uphill, around the moorland where we live, and we do it regularly as our exercise at the moment.

Can anyone reassure or give any advice?

Hello

My son has been experiencing the same recently. He is 2. He has also been losing weight

I called the doctors on Wednesday and he was in the childrens ward the following day having blood tests. We should get the results tomorrow. Although it's not very common in that age group it is certainly worth getting it checked. Call your GP xx

Speak to your GP. Mine arranged for my DD to be seen in the hospital, and tested. We got the results after a few hours, but that was before Corona so it may take longer at the moment.
