Posting mainly for traffic. I am redesigning my kitchen in our new house. My current ovens are not satisfactory. One is gas, one is electric. The electric is absolute rubbish/ utterly useless at heating ready meals ( doesn't heat middle yet outer is burnt) , burns pizzas, cakes take so long to cook( way over time) or either go from raw in middle to done in a flash etc. Gas one is great for roasts and roasties but rubbish at cakes. Can I please know what is the best oven, for either or both roasts/ general meals and baking. I will be having two ovens so can get best of each. I had a gas oven in my previous house and it was great but sadly is no longer manufactured. I just want a decent oven.

Is the electric one a fan oven? Try using it without the fan on.

I’ve got a Miele oven - cooks, roasts, bakes etc fantastically. Consistent results, time after time and regardless of where something is in the oven (my last one was a lot hotter on the right than the left).

Electric oven is not a fan oven.

alwayscoffee your oven sounds ideal. Can I ask which model it is?

We have a CookMaster 110 - cooks everything perfectly.

I have a Bosch oven and also very happy with it.

Jealous of the Miele person though: Miele shit is AMAZING.

I have this one: Rangemaster Professional Deluxe 110. It’s fantastic! Would recommend.

Rather than a recommendation I'm making a suggestion of what to avoid; I have a Neff slide and hide (came with the house) and it's absolutely rubbish, it amazes me they use them on Bake Off. It takes ages to get to temperature and doesn't stay at temperature even if you don't open the door. Doesn't help that whoever installed it didn't own a spirit level so cakes are never level. I did have a large Neff double oven in my last house which was brilliant but can't remember the model.

You just need a fan oven. Any fan oven works fine, it doesn't need to be fancy. At my old house I had an own brand b and q one. And now have hot point. All fan ovens, all work exactly the same.

I have Rangemaster Professional Deluxe 90. The ovens are great but the grill is utter shite. The temperature goes from nothing to hotter than the sun with absolutely nothing in between.
