Be honest. Let’s have a quick poll

YABU - broke it even just a little bit
YANBU - stuck at it no matter what

Yabu I've been out more than once a day a few times. Just walking/running.

Davros · 09/05/2020 22:35

Not another thread about this, and with the same appalling grammar in the title as the other one

cruzrack · 09/05/2020 22:35

Genuinely YANBU

OntheWaves40 · 09/05/2020 22:38

Looks like a pretty even split so far.

*broken

PurpleDaisies · 09/05/2020 22:40

Since you’ve asked, it should be...

Have you broken lockdown?

Oly4 · 09/05/2020 22:40

Definitely stuck to it, want to not catch it and want to save lives!

Davros · 09/05/2020 22:40

Thank you

Carrie7469 · 09/05/2020 22:42

I have not broken lockdown

OhMyDarling · 09/05/2020 22:42

No way and I have no inclination to. I would never live with myself if I passed it on to someone that died, I don’t care how small the likelihood is.

chunkyrun · 09/05/2020 22:42

Yabu drove to exercise before it was specified and everyone was going through the gestapo phase. Took next doors daughter to school every day. She's a key worker and a single parent. I'm at home doing nothing so joined forces. Went shopping for things probably not deemed essential

ChocolateQuiltedShitPig · 09/05/2020 22:43

Another fucking thread

DramaAlpaca · 09/05/2020 22:47

I'm in Ireland where lockdown rules are a bit different. Since Monday, we've been allowed to go up to 5km for exercise. I felt very, very naughty that DH & I went about 7km away to take the dogs for a walk Shock I must say, it did me the world of good too. Not sorry.

Apart from that, I've been good as gold for six weeks.

Goandplay · 09/05/2020 22:50

My FIL was released from hospital with terminal cancer. We visited him daily for the last week of his life. It’s been very difficult to expect my DH to stop seeing his family during this time. So we’ve been seeing them.
Up until then I was very strict in my household.

Chavvysexponds · 09/05/2020 22:52

We went for a 9m hike. Saw about 2 other people the whole time.

We also took a bottle of wine and our own glasses and went and sat with MIL in her back garden the other night, staying at a distance. We've both been wfh since end of March and only other live person we've been near is the Tesco delivery man.

DDemelza · 09/05/2020 22:53

I have did a few times. I know I shouldn't of have of but what's did is did.

OntheWaves40 · 09/05/2020 22:54

So my so-called terrible grammar was a missing letter. Well I can tell which way you voted. I think you need to get out more!

Tonii1985 · 09/05/2020 22:55

YABU

NotMyUsualNameNoSiree · 09/05/2020 22:57

YABU, sometimes when I'm passing people on the street there's nearer 1.5m between us than 2 (if the pavement is narrow and waking in the road isn't feasible).

One day I went out twice (once on my own, once with DD).

But, aside from that. To the letter. We've seen no one. Haven't even been in a shop or left the immediate vicinity of our house (I know both are allowed) since mid March.

BogRollBOGOF · 09/05/2020 23:09

I've done nothing illegal.
I've stayed fit and healthy.
Nothing wrong with a 10 mile run in the middle of nowhere with no one to infect.
DCs have different exercise needs to me so they have been exercised seperately, particularly important as one has ASD, and you know it if his needs have not been met, and energy burned off.

I haven't socialised with anyone outside my household other than a responsibly spaced street party for VE day. Very civilised. No one sozzled.

For various health reasons, my DCs have not seen my DM since Christmas Day, and I haven't seen her since her hospital bed in February. 3 months now.

I have broken a string of Covid Dementor rules, but have a clean concience as I've acted appropriately to my surroundings with minimal risk to the health of others which is within the law and policing guidelines.

Vieve1325 · 10/05/2020 01:00

YABU

dog sitting for a friend who’s having a horrific time with family deaths and palliative care (all non Covid).

Despite having stayed with me umpteen times in the past, Dog unfortunately attacked me for no reason, causing substantial facial injuries. It was destroyed before I was discharged from hospital.

I went straight to her house (passed it directly on my way home) to show her that although I’m injured, they’re not devastating or life threatening injuries, and will just be scars (and probably a big unsightly). Gave her a hug. It wasn’t her fault the dog turned, and she’s still lost a beloved pet and I needed her to see there were no hard feelings. I hope it helps alleviate the grief even a tiny bit.
