18th birthday

Not really AIBU, but ds turns 18 soon and I'm looking for inspiration on how to celebrate and what to get him.
School friends are not local, and we are super tight for money at the moment.
All ideas considered! Thank you.
(DS is academic (physics stuff) and likes cricket.)

How soon? If where you are is in lockdown it changes any suggestions people might make.

If still in lockdown, could you order in his favourite takeaway and have it as a family?
And if he’s disappointed that he can’t go down the pub for his 18th, could you do a mock pub at home and serve him a pint as a makeshift pub?
