Has anyone else received notice that their child’s nursery is opening?

Received an email from DS’ nursery last week. Exact wording:

“The nursery will be reopening on the 11th of May for children who's parents are Key Workers/ Critical Workers and for those parents who are still working and have not been furloughed”

I haven’t responded and am resigned to wait and see what is announced tomorrow. Both DH and I are WFH but just about managing.
Has anyone else received similar?

Our nursery have asked if we need childcare from 1st June. I've said hell yes. I don't think many parents are up for it though so we'll see if they actually open.

Praise be! Nursery have just ring and confirmed they are opening again and would I be sending DS? Oh yes!

We had an email asking if DS will be back on June 1st (if they can open). I said yes!

The guidance says "A phased return for early years settings and schools.Schools should prepare to begin to open for more children from 1 June. The Government expects children to be able to return to early years settings, and for Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 to be back in school in smaller sizes, from this point. This aims to ensure that the youngest children, and those preparing for the transition to secondary school, have maximum time with their teachers".

We’ve said that we will be sending him back, so to invoice us as normal for his place. But in reality, we may decide where we are come 1st June and either keep him off a little longer or only send him in for a few morning sessions the first week and see how we get on. We are getting on OK with the WFH and the parenting - seem to have found a rhythm (I appreciate not everyone is this fortunate though)

AA, good. However someone above asked for a quote and I just hadn't seen your post. Does no harm to see it twice hopefully.....
