Talking to DH (especially about something important to me) and he’s just on Instagram scrolling through memes or similar. How is this acceptable? Anyone else’s husband do this sort of thing? I appreciate lockdown has increased phone use but still!

Does he know that what youre talking about is important to you?

My DH does it, drives me nuts. I've told him I'm just going to stop talking if he is on his phone.

DH does this. I stand in silence and then he gets all affronted and sighs "I was listening" but I refuse to speak until he puts down his phone.

Totally depends on how much you talk. If your constantly babbling all day he probably just assumes it’s your usual droning and carries on doing what he wants. Not saying you do drone, but women sure do talk lots more than most men.
