Starting the pill after the depo injection

Hi hope someone can help. Due to covid I didn't want to get my depo injection so was prescribed the mini pill instead. I started taking this three weeks ago and due to things I hadn't slept with my partner since. We slept together the other day after three weeks on the pill. Will I still be protected like normal with the pill?

Mini pill is effective after 2 days of pill taking

The NHS website says two days and my mini pill packet insert says one week, so either way you should be fine. Give it a quick read if you're still concerned!

Bare in mind that you have to take the pill at the same time every day or within 12 hours of your normal time. So if you normally take it 9am, you have until 9pm the same day to take it (this is what I was told by the Dr who prescribed me the mini pill when I couldn’t get my depo injection because of this lockdown thing)

Depends which mini pill it is - some have a 3 hour window and some have a 12 hour window. Regardless it is 2 days of pill taking to be effective
