I live alone and haven't seen anyone for 5-6 weeks now.
Obviously when I go shopping etc and I'm furloughed from work.
I haven't seen my Dad or grandparents or boyfriend (like many others and as long as they are safe and well I'm happy.
My friend just text and said her boyfriend and his 2 kids are going over hers for a street party today.
She said it's ok as the government have said street party's are allowed (hmmmm don't think Boris meant invite your boyfriend over who lives 40 mins away ) but anyway.
She's texting so excited can't wait to see him.
Saying it's ok as people are returning to work now.
Anyway I'm annoyed
Aibu here ? And bitter
Another day on my own
I'm a bit sad today
I know it's for the best but I'm just a bit blah

You're not being unreasonable or bitter. We are not out of lockdown yet.

I think maybe a little bit bitter but I feel you, it's so annoying that people are flouting the rules while others are sticking to them but struggling. Have you been doing video calls etc with your family, and getting outdoors for a run/walk? Flowers

Your friend is an idiot, I’d point out she’s mistaken so if that makes you bitter then I would be too.

YANBU to be annoyed. As itsnotcakeitsbaby said, it's annoying that some people are clearly making a lot of personal sacrifices to stick to the rules whilst others just ignore the rules when it suits them. A couple I know have been flouting the rules since about week 2 for what seem to be purely selfish reasons, and it's impacted on my opinion of them.
