I bought something online via PayPal for $38. It came from China, and was totally not as described , so I asked for a refund. They refused so I opened a dispute with PayPal, and I have finally had a reply - I will get a full refund but I have to pay for return postage costs. I think this will be around £6.
Surely this is wrong? If they acknowledge that what they sold me was not as described (it was half the size), surely the seller should be liable for my costs?
Due to coronavirus PayPal don’t have any staff who can take phone calls, so there is nothing I can do to question this.
Does anyone else have experience of this? I’ve got till May 18th to post the parcel back, so I’m wondering about hanging on a bit in the hope PayPal get some staff back working who I can speak to.
I know it’s trivial in the grand scheme of things, but this kind of stuff really annoys me.
