Blue Bloody Ribands

My husband was going shopping this morning so I asked if he could get a pack of chocolate bars (we get some every week) He asked which ones so I said, Oh whatevers on offer. It's sometimes Boosts, sometimes Toffee Crisps, just get whatever's there.
He comes home 40 minutes later with a multipack of Blue Fucking Ribands. Actually proud of himself. Ok, I thought, breathing deeply, he's got them for himself, he will have of course picked up the chocolate bars I asked him to buy. Nope. Just a pack of 16 or so Blue Ribands. AIBU that Blue Ribands are ghastly and have a stupid name to boot?

YANBU. They are a disappointment.

They are in the biscuit aisle not the confectionery aisle. Silly man! Mind you, 2 finger KitKats are in the biscuit aisle and 4 finger ones are with the confectionery.

Now, if he had brought home Blue Ribands AND a multi-pack of chocolate bars, then he’d be almost perfect.

Love them or hate them, at least most of us agree on one thing - that they are NOT a chocolate bar! They are just disappointment covered wafers with a shit name.

Completely not ok. I used to get the sadness when they were the biscuits my DM bought that week.

DH came back with Club biscuits with bloody raisins once. I was not happy.

What's wrong with Figrolls? I love them.

You can turn them into a chocolate bar by eating three at once. That's why they come in packs of 16.

PPs are misguided. They can't be compared with the sacred Tunnocks wafer. they may have the same pale, pathetic waxy excuse for chocolate on the outside. But Tunnocks have the lovely chewy caramel inside to make it all worth while.

Be thankful he didnt go to aldi

Fig rolls are delicious if you pour hot custard on them.

I have no idea if they were on offer but they are not a chocolate bar surely? It's like saying, I didn't get you cherries because these sprouts were on offer. The crushing disappointment is about the same.

I haven't voted because I love them but as other's have said, they're not a chocolate bar (buying boosts would be grounds for divorce though!).

BR are a nice crisp biscuit. I enjoy eating a few one with a coffee.

DP had never heard of blue ribbands until a few months ago when someone at work gave him one. I was horrified. They are a fucking delight.

BUT

I would consider them a posh biscuit rather than a "proper" chocolate bar.
