Which celebs have made arses of themselves in their quest to entertain /crave attention

I know that their living depends on staying relevant but these are challenging times for such self indulgence when people have more pressing issues. But some celebs who are normally not massively annoying, are making reputation destroying SM entries.
So far, The usually wonderful Ellen has peed off a lot of people, Michael Buble, Ollie Muirs(???), Madonna and loads more.
Any others making your cringe gland rupture?

I know I am part of the problem and this is not important but I am bored.

Queen and Adam Lambert with their re-recording of We are the Champions, so it's now called You are the Champions, in honour of NHS heroes and frontline key worker heroes. It's a charity single, so us normal people who are scraping by on 80% pay, or losing our jobs can donate yet more of our own money.

In fact, any celebrities who are releasing charity anything at the moment. Just fuck off, shut up, and quietly donate some of your own millions or time instead of expecting us poor people to do it. It's just a self-adoring promotion wagon for them. Needy twats.

For balance I am loving Bella Mackie who is very real and unfiltered.
Marian Keyes and her make up comparisons are wonderful.

Plaiceholder · 06/05/2020 09:52

Joe Wicks

  1. 'I was born to do this, this is my moment' rhetoric

Prick

Christine McGuiness was moaning that they can't get any shopping deliveries, and she's paying someone to do her shopping.

Her and Paddy can't go and get their own stuff as the kids need them both at home.

Sparklingbrook · 06/05/2020 09:57

How do they manage when Paddy is working?

TheCanterburyWhales · 06/05/2020 09:57

Wasn't there a possibly true/possibly urban myth about Katherine Jenkins getting into drama school because the wrong letter was sent out? ie her letter had been meant for someone else?

TheCanterburyWhales · 06/05/2020 09:58

Jack Monroe
Because everything.

SeigneurLapindeGrantham · 06/05/2020 09:59

Oh god yes Sarah Jarvis, she squelches through every sentence.

Proudboomer · 06/05/2020 10:00

I think a lot of stuff is coming out about how unpleasant Ellen is so it was no surprise when she videos herself in a multi million dollar Hollywood mansion overlooking her infinity pool telling the world she feels like she is in jail. And just to remind us all how important she is she calls a few randomA listers just to say high.

The Beckham no surprise there as they have always been bloody awful.

Madonna prancing about her bathroom.

Gordon Ramsey lays off 500 staff. Not even putting them on furlough to take advantage of the government s 80% then pisses off to Cornwall to stay in one of his 3 properties there with a total value of £11 million.

I hope when this is all over we remember who are the arseholes and stop buying into their shit.

overnightangel · 06/05/2020 10:05

Oh Christ what did he say about Thatcher @Plaiceholder 🥴

Violetparis · 06/05/2020 10:05

Victoria Beckham, Gary Barlow and any other millionnaire celeb who avoids paying tax but virtue signals about the NHS.

Iamthewombat · 06/05/2020 10:10

Surely everybody knows that those social media ‘challenges’ are planned and orchestrated by the Guild of Z List Celebrity Arseholes, specifically the Attention Seeking Sub-Committee.

VickyEadieofThigh · 06/05/2020 10:11

Sam Smith. Totally narcissistic prick.

nozzel · 06/05/2020 10:13

@earthyfire I cannot fucking stand them both. Her husband is so needy and weird.

They 'open up' about fucking everything,

sotiredwe · 06/05/2020 10:14

I am on a one-woman campaign to bring back the nineties term 'poser' and 'posing' - which used to be seen as very bad form - as being very applicable to the social media age

Can I sign up? When did bragging & vanity become something good?

Iamthewombat · 06/05/2020 10:15

Yes, Joe Wicks. Talk about cold-bloodedly seizing the opportunity to simultaneously get your mug on telly, humblebrag, show off and whine about how he didn’t always get exactly what he wanted in life ergo he is now a heroic figure for children to aspire to emulate. Just sod off. He is so transparent.

And kids are seeing him every morning and absorbing his narcissistic, self-pitying messages. Puke.

foxychox · 06/05/2020 10:15

I try to cut Christine McGuinness some slack as they have 3 kids with SEN but the feed of half naked photos is relentless. Also yes to Jesy Nelson and Lauren Goodger, Chloe from Geordie Shore, Rita Ora with no bra on etc etc.
I've been loving Andrew Lloyd Webber on Facebook!

God yes! Couldn't agree more.

I fear that us who were young adults the 90s are the last generation to remember life before 24/7 social media narcissism.

In the 80s Gordon Gekko immortalised 'greed is good' - and no good came of that. Now it seems to be "make your money via narcissism on SM".

oochie · 06/05/2020 10:21

If Tom Hardy wants to post some topless photos & crotch shots, i'm down for that.

JemimaShore · 06/05/2020 10:22
Grin
JemimaShore · 06/05/2020 10:23

That was to myself, not you, oochie

oochie · 06/05/2020 10:26

👍🏼

I took a "selfie" before it was a thing in the early 00s involving phone, mirror & a strong pose. Posted it on fb (so new then) & friends & family ripped me a new one. Never done it again! 🤣

Northernlass99 · 06/05/2020 10:27

Another person here loving Grayson Perry!

But Olly Murs is so annoying. I actually love the Gary Barlow things but the one with him on was cringey, like a bad uncle at a party, trying desperately to be 'wacky'.

HollySideEyes · 06/05/2020 10:28

Wow oochie, you trailblazer Grin.

derxa · 06/05/2020 10:35

All of the above. Brian May is a massive self publicist and generally a greedy bastard. Why can't he retire?
