To ask for a refund

I bought something in store today with best before date as APR 2020. As it's not "use by" but just best before can I take the item back or does it seem foolish?

I have noticed several items in the shops that have exceeded their sell by date in the last couple of weeks. Even in Booths! I’m guessing that staff are occupied in different ways from usual so stock rotation is not happening as thoroughly as usual. I'm being careful when I shop.

i bought some biscuits end date april it was apsril still bit gutted but i ate them and we're fine

Wazz some up in a blender (proper chef speak that) and use as a cheesecake base.
