I’m normally a happy, optimist but am getting more and more forlorn. There’s just nothing positive, nothing seems to be moving forward and anything anybody says that’s remotely optimistic is instantly shot down by others. My dc are loosing motivation, wfh is hard, I’m worried, not sleeping. Surely there must be something hopefully unravelingSad

It’s a beautiful sunny day.
It’s looking like it’s closer to restrictions being eased somewhat.
Our NHS is not currently overwhelmed and has capacity to treat patients.
You are spending time with your DC and are safe at home.

Flowers it’s tough right now, just keep on keeping on. You’ve got this.

The weather is getting nicer.
Many children will be benefiting from time with their family at home with not as much pressure on them from school or hobbies.
The environment will also be benefitting.
This too shall pass.

We won't need to worry about government soon because Magpies are taking over soon👀 They already took over our streets👀
All hail The Supernoisy Magpie!

We have a family of blue tits in our nest box. Mum and Dad are back and forth with food for their babies. I like sitting in my kitchen and watching them. I find it reassuring and soothing.

Nature is carrying on just fine.

  1. You have DC and they are safe at home
  2. You have a job a)that allows you and your DC to be at home b) that is providing a wage
  3. You've not mentioned any symptoms so presuming you don't have this horrible virus
  4. You are not alone in physical sense or in the sense that this isn't something just affecting you
  5. A lot of children will have lost)be loosing motivation (see4)
  6. The country is gearing up for lifting restrictions
  7. At least it's not snowing!!

No commute, lovely weather, actually spending time with kids, and as you are WFH too: aren't you saving a lot of money?

Fair enough, I don't see any of the "free time" so many people seem to have and can catch up on everything they want lucky bastards but having a job is a good thing and really all we have to do is stay at home more.

Bonus is that there will be a break from school in 3 weeks! wouldn't call that a holiday, but I can't wait. And there's a bank holiday this Friday.

I'd rather try to ignore the negatives and focus on the positives at the moment. It's not forever.

Nearly all the homeless people have a warm bed to go to at the moment. They are in the system and many are getting the help they need.
