That's a really interesting question OP's son. I guess if somebody who has gone blind, but was previously sighted, has a dream then they can recall those visual images in their subconscious, ie in their dreams. I am really interested to know what those who have always been blind and so have no visual reference would encounter as they dream. I guess they would be based around sound, and other heightened senses such as smell and touch?

Yes! Not blind. But trained to work with them. Mostly smells/tastes/colors. Tactile dreams, too, like holding an ice cream cone or petting a dog. I've heard of a blind person having a nightmare involving hearing a dog running after them and smelling its bad breath as it closed in.

Yes I’m registered blind have a bit of sight, my eyes are the same in dreams, yet in dreams I’ve driven cars, very weird.
