To be disappointed in Look Fantastics 'discount codes'.

At the top of their page it says 10% off.

There's another discount for new customers. 15% off.

I have a £95 basket and the 10% is taking off 70p

I did a live chat with them and they said that brands set limits on what discounts can be used.

Every item in my basket is from a different manufacturer so out of all of them only 1 allows a discount?

You're emailed 15% off codes. It doesn't say on pages this item isn't eligible for discount, only tells you when you try to add the codes.

If you click the banner it shows you the items that are included. They're always that way.

It only includes selected items

They are quite naughty for this...in the tiniest of writing it tells you and there's a separate page link somewhere on the site that tells you what brands don't allow discounts which is pretty much all of them big reason why I stopped shopping with them.

YANBU at all, it's really annoying trying to work out what the discount applies to.

I try to make sure I am logged in then click through from the email, to use an emailed code. Then use the bar on the left of the screen to navigate (this is already filtered by items in the offer) - not the search bar/menu at the top (which is everything on the site). It takes longer than just searching, but usually means I know if something is or isn't in the offer.

I hate ‘offers’ like this, I always feel that they are trying to trick you into buying things at full price. I actually find it puts me off sites that do this.
