To think people could live further from work after lockdown?

I was looking on Rightmove earlier because I've always yearned to live in North Devon and I like to have a dream about what I could buy!
Both my husband and I have office jobs and both have said they'll continue with increased home working after lockdown is over because it's proved more productive for our teams.
It suddenly occurred to me that if I'm only required to go into the office occasionally, my dream could become a reality! And on a more serious note...could it actually happen that people live where they want to in future without considering commuting distance to work if home working becomes more commonplace? The only thing that's been holding me back personally is not wanting to give up secure jobs and worrying about the availability of jobs for my three children when they're older. Could this be a game changer?

I really hope so, we’ve been saying the same thing. I’ve been loving the quietness round here, not sure I’ll survive it going back to being as busy as it was

@Mustfly I thought about it before. But one thing to consider is if you would always stay in your job and if your next job would allow to wfh (less of a consideration if most companies allows home working).
