To understand why locals are annoyed at Gordon Ramsay?

Yes he owns a house, but he has essentially moved his entire family down there at the 11th hour to enjoy an extended holiday (complete with long cycle rides miles from his holiday home) after allegedly firing 500 staff so they can't even be furloughed.

This is somebody who had the nerve to post a Stay at Home message to the public, including people that live in flats etc.

I dont get why everyone is defending him?

He's an arrogant tosser, isn't he?

Who is defending him his celeb friends? Those that make money with him ?

I've seen/heard loads of comments along the lines of 'he owns a holiday home, why shouldn't he be down there' etc.

He's a prat of the highest order! I only used to vaguely dislike him but he's shown he has no care or compassion for his staff and no regard for the public either. I actively dislike very few celebrities but he's now added to my list (not that he'll care but makes me feel better).

I haven't seen anyone defending him, only criticisms. I personally don't give enough fucks to care either way.
I don't know him, don't know any other celebs either so cannot make a judgement about their choices or whether I "like them".

He lives in Rock in Cornwall,an area spoilt by wealthy non locals.So his immediate neighbours have no problem with him.

My son is a Chef further up the coast and Ramsey is disliked by everyone in the industry.

Cornwall has limited health care.The foolish man did a 25mile bike ride this week! He knows how to wind people up and takes delight in doing so.

It is obvious from his behaviour he doesn’t care what people think of him.

Agree with you - I refuse to let the kids watch his daughter’s tv show, can’t stand the man.

This situation has shown a lot of “ celebrities “ in their true colours, and most have come out as total cheeky fuckers in one way or another , from Ramsay to the ex spice girl, and I am not surprised that people are angry with them.

That is awful behaviour. Never liked him. This has confirmed my suspicions that he is thoroughly dislikable.

I hope this will put an end to celeb worship. I actually think the A listers are doing a better job.

I hope so too but I can't see it happening. The public have short memories and theres no way of holding them to account.
