It's not often I have something to brag about, so...

Today I cleaned the downstairs loo EVEN THOUGH we have no guests expected!

AND I ate a piece of fruit, even though I'm not on a diet!

Let's hear yours!

Two days ago, I fully committed to an imaginary game of unicorns and fairies for a full 45 minutes. I was the unicorn. The 3 year old was the fairy.

Maybe again next week.

PlayerOneReady · 02/05/2020 10:58

Um, I don’t think you understand what ‘virtue signalling’ is

feetfreckles · 02/05/2020 11:00

Please demonstrate?

VladmirsPoutine · 02/05/2020 11:04

That's not what virtue signalling is at all.

VladmirsPoutine · 02/05/2020 11:05

But good job on cleaning the loo.

Candyfloss99 · 02/05/2020 11:06

You need to Google virtue signalling. You are just bragging.

TSSDNCOP · 02/05/2020 11:12

Yes OP you need to go and clean the floor in the kitchen making NHS lunches to be truly virtuous. Or mine Grin

qwertyuiop098 · 02/05/2020 11:23

I nodded and listened while DP showed me a shelf he built in the shed.

I did something similar except he was telling me about the level he had just completed his computer game. Was so hard to follow and I couldn't tell you what he said meant Blush

2outof3Mightbebad · 02/05/2020 11:46

Yeah, that's not virtue signalling Hmm

I cleaned the skirting boards in the kitchen. I'm amazed at my own abilities!

Toilenstripes · 02/05/2020 12:00

I clapped on Thursday, then ate some kale.

geekone · 02/05/2020 12:01

I am going to do Joe Wicks in a Saturday so I can eat my takeaway afternoon tea today!

bruffin · 02/05/2020 12:02

Virtue Signalling is me

crustycrab · 02/05/2020 12:13

I googled virtue signalling so I can do it properly. So glad I did, Wikipedia cleared it right up for me Grin

Virtue signalling* is a pejorative neologism for the conspicuous expression of moral values.[1] It is derived from the concept of signalling in evolutionary biology.

qwertyuiop098 · 02/05/2020 13:33

Oh god I have been given that treatment a few times in the last few weeks. The way I got my revenge was to show him my entire skincare routine, explaining each product one by one. He soon kept the PS4 “achievements” to himself!

FlamedToACrisp · 02/05/2020 16:33

Well done to all the clever people who decided that correcting my use of 'virtue signalling' was more important than just, I dunno, joining in as a bit of fun? I now feel thoroughly ashamed of myself for not being as intelligent and perfect as you, so - job done, ladies.

@TSSDNCOP clean the floor in the KITCHEN? But it's not due for another month.

countdowntonap · 02/05/2020 16:37

I took a new toilet roll upstairs to the bathroom before the old one was finished.

PurpleDaisies · 02/05/2020 16:39

I’d get mnhq to edit the title to be “minor bragging” instead. I knew what you meant, people can be arsey for no real reason.

My brag of the day is I’ve finally recycled a load of uni work, literally years after I finished.
