Hospital app

My son has an appointment next week for an ultrasound at our amazing local childrens hospital. They rang me today to confirm we could still make it. I said as long as they think it is is okay for us to go. The lady was very cheerful and said of course. Would you still go? My sons fine this is not an urgent thing, just a routine appointment as I previously took him to the doctors as he seems to get belly ache quite often. She told us to try cutting out dairy and made this app. Typically since going to the doctors months ago hes been absolutely fine. Am I bad to still take him? We have gloves and masks.

Some appointments still need to go ahead. DD had an ultrasound a couple of weeks ago and all was fine (although DP took her as I didn’t want to).
The follow up consultation was done over the phone so we haven’t had to go back

I would take him. I'm sure it's cleaner than the shopping we pick up at supermarkets!

Is there anyone particularly vulnerable in your household? If not then I'd take him.

I went for a midwife appointment the other day, the place was deserted.

Thank you for your replies 😊 it's made me feel better about going

No one vulnerable in our household. I'm so sorry I don't know how to tag you in my reply 🙈

Please go it will be completely safe. Our hospital is split into 2 areas green for non covid red for suspected covid.
The waiting room will have social distancing in place but may well be deserted. Hopefully you will be seen quickly and home again.
Glad to hear he is now feeling better but the uss will set your mind at rest.

My son had an appointment for an MRI last week and we took him. They ensured we were the only
People in the waiting room and there was very minimal contact with doors etc as they were all held open.

That's good to hear. Thank you for replying 😊

I had a hospital appointment a couple of weeks ago. The waiting and treatment areas were all socially distanced (with obvious exception of nurses having to insert cannulas etc.), hand gel distributed liberally, enforced hand washing and all other such sensible measures.

I did wonder if it would be cancelled (in fact, I'm surprised it wasn't) but I was glad it went ahead.

@Ilovecats14 he's absolutely fine thank you - was a follow up MRI as he had some seizures the day after he was born. Thankfully none since but they wanted to check after a few weeks.
Hope everything goes well with your appointment!

I am glad he is okay! Ours went well, they said everything looks fine.We were the only ones in the childrens radiology department so went in and straight out with out seeing anyone, no one else was waiting while we were there or anything.
