To think 30 is still young

I was talking with my mother today and said that my nephew is still quite young. She said he’s not really young anymore. Aibu to think 30 is quite young considering the life span of humans.

Well young in terms of years until you die (hopefully) but not young if you are talking in terms of being an adult and the expectations that come with.

It really depends on the context I think.

It annoys me when people excuse someone's behaviour because they are still "young" then you hear they are in their 20's+!

I'll have a 13 year old by the time I'm 30, so I'll feel quite old. 🙈

How long is a piece of string?

Young in some ways but in another way people in their early 30s have been an adult half their lives.

I just meant it in the ways as he’s got a lot of time left.

I felt like I was old when I was 30. But I had a 8 year old, married with a mortgage etc.

I think it depends where you are in life. A lot of the people I went to school with were still living like teenagers.
