To think my UK holiday may still go ahead?

We're due to take the kids to Butlins (bognor regis) on 29th June.

The Butlins website states that their sites are closed until 7th June, due to the covid restrictions.

How likely do you think it is that we'll be ok to go ahead? Would you change your dates for later in the year or stick as is and hope for the best?

I’d move until next year.

It’s highly unlikely they will be open and if they are do you really want to be somewhere where cleaning etc is out of your control and mixing with others as not everyone sticks to the 2m rule.

I would assume it won’t go ahead. I think understandably businesses aren’t cancelling things until they have to, but that doesn’t mean it will go ahead.

I hope that some restrictions will be easing a bit in 2 months time, but I can’t imagine that will include places like Butlins, where hundreds of people travel from across the country to spend a few days in close quarters in short term rented accommodation with dubious cleanliness for totally non essential reasons

If August I'd have said yes, I think 29th June will be cutting it fine.

GreyishDays · 30/04/2020 21:15

I don’t think you’ll want to go.
