Aibu to tell my ndn to tone it done now...its 21.40 and they are still in the street shouting and mingling with all the other neighbours, beer, wine etc in their hand, kids all running about. I wouldn't mind but these are the same people who reported me to the police last year for cutting my small front lawn at 19.00 'in an annoying manner' (that's the policeman's words not mine lol)..takes me 10 mins as it's a small area of grass.

MrsSnitchnose · 30/04/2020 20:52

How does one mow a lawn in an annoying manner? 🤔😂

GaaaaarlicBread · 30/04/2020 20:53

Mowing the lawn in an annoying manner 🤣🤣

Burplecutter · 30/04/2020 20:53

Don't tell them. Just get your lawnmower out and start cutting til they go back in. Grin

Lemonlady22 · 30/04/2020 21:01

I had to go to the police station to be interviewed(what a waste of resources) about the grass cutting...they are very entitled people...the policeman was embarrassed about it I think. It never went any further can you believe!

UANBU

Tell them exactly what you're thinking! At the end of the day you have to live with this. Also they're not filling the guidelines rules by having friend over etc, it just seems to me they're using this as an excuse to party and drink . I'm in the same boat with my neighbours who I'm pretty sure are drug dealing (been going on for 2 years now) thought it would stop since the virus and lockdown- I could only wish. It's hard for me to say stuff as they are nice in person and technically it's not actually effecting me or my family (they don't have gangs round, noise etc)

Hannah021 · 01/05/2020 05:10

Plz dont tell me thats since clapping at 20:00 ????

Thankgoodness1 · 01/05/2020 05:57

You had to go to the police station for that?!??!!

Lemonlady22 · 01/05/2020 09:36

The police station visit was last Oct from cutting my grass in July...they accused me of harassment regarding the noise from that. I think he has 'friends' in the police to be honest. This is a guy who from April to Sept uses power tools non stop. But apparently he's allowed to do home improvements during permitted hours. 8 hours of sawing wood is okay but 10 mins of grass cutting ..no.no.no....! Theyve got really friendly with the new people the other side of them, so they spent a day last week in each others gardens building a shed...so more sawing and drilling ...and being closer than 2 metres, kids passing over the fence etc..then clapping the NHS yest..doh

During lockdown eh?

Lemonlady22 · 01/05/2020 09:40

Yes during lockdown.....obviously doesn't apply to those who work in the fire service!

I have to lock myself indoors when DH mows the lawn. We've got a small lawn and he goes up and down and up and down like it's the hallowed turf at Wembley. With his Flymo.

I hate the sound at all times. Especially at 7 (whether morning or evening).

@Lemonlady22 do what's best for you. Xxx
