Did anyone elses pay look depressing?

OP posts:
SimonJT · 30/04/2020 13:59

Awful, barely covers my mortgage and service charge.

Luckily our employer has now decided everyone on furlough will be back at work on Wednesday and those currently working will go on furlough Tuesday.

TheHumanSatsuma · 30/04/2020 14:00

My son has his. He works as a waiter so tips form quite a bit of his income normally.

At the moment, we are helping with bills just hope we can continue.

MrsMoastyToasty · 30/04/2020 14:03

I've been paid my normal amount. My employers are paying furloughed staff 100% for now. I don't do/get overtime (work for a charity) so it looks the same as normal.

Espoleta · 30/04/2020 14:10

Down around 2k with next month being far worst off as I still worked a bit of April
But, I’m spending time with my toddler who really want coping well with lockdown and wfh

@Flyinggeese there’s a £2500pm cap

dementedpixie · 30/04/2020 14:14

And then do you not get tax and NI deducted from the £2500 as well? Dh also down about £2K

secretskillrelationships · 30/04/2020 14:15

I applied under the furlough scheme on Monday evening and funds were in my back account the following Monday so no excuse for firms not to pay staff. That said, I only have 4 staff so we're talking very small amounts. But they're paid based on the number of days they work on the week so I did two separate claims for March and April and received both lots. I'd already paid them and I'm paying 100% as they're on minimum wage anyway.

My ex is intending to drop maintenance to 80% - I did point out that he needs to recalculate based on children being 100% with me! So he'll be paying slightly more. I'd be kinder if I felt he at least tried to keep in touch with the children! So I'm having to deal with the fallout from that too.

lovinglavidaloca · 30/04/2020 14:15

Just had my second full pay while on furlough. Obviously the first month I’ve been off the full month. Can’t complain but still very concerned for the future of my job.

DartmoorChef · 30/04/2020 14:15

Not getting ours until the company have received it from the government 😢

lovinglavidaloca · 30/04/2020 14:16

@Mummiepig I’m so sorry. That’s horrendous. These are just terrifying times.

Espoleta · 30/04/2020 14:18

@dementedpixie it’s subjected to all the normal dedications or pension and tax etc. Childcare vouchers too if you’re paying for them

Barmaid101 · 30/04/2020 14:18

Mine was based on yearly average, I got paid the same amount as a quiet month so I cannot complain, we get paid four weekly so was last week.

Unworthie · 30/04/2020 14:19

💐 @Mummiepig

Sorry to hear that.

Thefaceofboe · 30/04/2020 14:20

I got my payslip today and it’s better than what I expected

trappedsincesundaymorn · 30/04/2020 14:20

It looked ok but you'd have to have a PHD in pure maths to understand how the figure was reached. The e-mail explaining it read like a paper in astro-physics.

VideographybyLouBloom · 30/04/2020 14:24

Very lucky to be on 100 percent plus benefits so mine looks the same.

Ragwort · 30/04/2020 14:25

More than last month Grin.

Realise I am very fortunate however I only work part time on a low wage and my employer has guaranteed that no salary will fall below the real living wage. My tax code has changed and I got a few hours ‘holiday pay’.

sickntiredblah · 30/04/2020 14:27

Dh was down nearly 1.5k...glorious!! Sad

Flyinggeese · 30/04/2020 14:29

@Espoleta so there is - of course.

Mummiepig that's just awful - I'm sorry!

Ludoole · 30/04/2020 14:59

Work said they would pay the additional 20% and did, however I lost my shift allowance that I've relied on for 4 years and that was 25% so pay slip looked depressing...

WanderingMilly · 30/04/2020 15:00

Mine was better than expected. The Tax Office has sorted out my tax code and got it right for a change, so a rebate was due, made the payslip look pretty healthy!

Likethebattle · 30/04/2020 15:05

Not furloughed but somehow got paid twice 🙄😂🤷🏻‍♀️

blubellsarebells · 30/04/2020 15:09

We're still waiting, been told next friday at the earliest possibly the week afrer.
Im losing around 100 a week in tips, they're not included.

Hingeandbracket · 30/04/2020 15:11

Self employed. Still working - earning way less than 80% of normal.

Pericombobulations · 30/04/2020 15:12

Mine was as normal as my company are topping up to 100% luckily.

GreyGardens88 · 30/04/2020 15:15

Normal but a bit lower because I had a sick day in April
