These two little beauties were born on the first day of lockdown, and they are coming to live with me in 2 and a half weeks. Both girls. AIBU to go against my children's wishes and not name them Unspeakable and Princess, and attempt to come up with alternative, lockdown related names for them? Please give me your suggestions!

Unspeakable is because boy child is obsessed with annoying YouTube man called unspeakable, for context 🤣 love these, keep em coming. One of my mates suggested gloves and mask 🤣🤣 loving Cora and Nina though...

they shouldn’t be coming to live with you until they’re twelve weeks old (which, if they were born the last week of March they’re nowhere near old enough to come live with you in two and a half weeks).

I hope you will be a responsible pet owner and not taking them younger than this.

Flip and flop after the holiday we never had, but will, for tomorrow is another day. Alternatively, coffee and gin. Damn cute kitties.

Thanks for the tip yeah Jackie, but we are having them when they are 8 weeks old, which according to the rspca and cats protection is absolutely fine (see links below) We have had cats for the last 15 years thanks. Any name suggestions or did you have any more 'advice' that was not asked for?

OMG I didn’t realise you’d googled it, that’s so silly of me, you must be an expert now. I’ve bred cats for twenty years but hey, if you don’t give a shit about what’s best for them, carry on! Biscuit

While you’re googling, do a search on reputable websites about the important development physically/mentally with kittens and particularly with their mums between 8-12 weeks and then maybe you’ll feel a little less smug. You’re obviously not getting your kitten from an animal rescue or a reputable breeder if they’re giving it to you that young.

What a moniker to live with.

It's a cat. It doesn't know what 'Unspeakable' means, ffs.
