Just home from night shift as out of hours GP in Covid hub. Have letter from One Call insurance’s legal department threatening to sue me. I cancelled my insurance with them as the service was so terrible. They say I have to pay for whole years insurance as I had a claim open. I couldn’t proceed with claim as so hard to get through to insurance brokers etc. I did tell brokers I was dropping claim. I changed to Nationwide who seem good, and were good for my mum. I had to drop my claim in moving, so have £1000 repair bill to pay myself. The water damage happened a month after my kids dad died. It is hard on my own with 3 children and schools off. My oldest has autism and DLA were easy to deal with compared to One Call. As a GP a lot of the job can be filling in forms and having to get through to hospitals. Can anyone recommend any consumers groups that could help? Sorry if I have posted in wrong are.
