... to wear a nursing bra just cos I like the style?

Looking for new bras... Even since fracturing a rib I prefer non wired ones. Preferably with little or no padding.
Browsing Marks and Spencer website, there are a few styles I like but they all seem to labelled as nursing bras.
Apart from the drop front cup, is a nursing bra really that different from a standard bra?
Do I just order my usual size?

You can but soft bras that aren’t nursing bras, if you’ve got the money I’d recommend ‘lucky sew and sew’ they make custom bras to measure (both nursing and non nursing) and they’re amazingly comfortable. Or look for bralettes rather than bras

You can BUY that should say

I’ve been wearing bralettes from Gap. They’re basically like mini crop tops. Sooo much more comfy than a wired bra, ok they don’t do as much for my shape but so what.

They don’t undo though so you have to be ok with wriggling into them over your head or feet.

People put bras on over their feet?!

I wore unstructured crop tops while my rib was healing and yes they're super comfy but tend to give me a flat uniboob!
I want a "real" shaping bra but keep finding I like the nursing ones.
When I finally get a chance to try them on, the changing room assistant might be surprised by my grey hair!

I'm wearing an M&S nursing bra right now, even though I stopped breastfeeding 4 months ago. I did go back to my normal ones but found them so uncomfortable by comparison that I switched back! Slightly concerned that because they're less supportive, they might not be doing me much good, but I figure comfort must be something of an indicator and if I'm not in pain, I'm probably ok.
