Is there a way to block Facebook page invites?

I'm getting numerous invites for beauty sales pages. I'm not interested.

Can you block these without blocking the people?

I don't have fb however my dd says you can "filter" them something to do with your privacy settings. Hope that helps, I will try and get more information about it from dd (bit like pulling teeth) and get back to you later, I'm sure someone else will be able to explain it better before then
