Anyone else had a reaction to Mitchum deodorant?

Been using it for years. Haven't used it in a few months as bought a load of another expensive brand when my local boots had 75% off. Started using it again yesterday and both my armpits are red raw. Incredibly painful.

Has anyone else had similar? I wonder if they've changed the ingredients. Gutted really as it always worked wonders for me.

Hi. Sorry to hear of your bad reaction. It still remains my favourite deodorant, and I've never had a bad reaction to it. That said, I only ever buy it from Lloyd's pharmacy when they have it in their £1 offer (which is on much of the time, so I do wear it pretty much constantly).

I get redness and bumps now when using it, I’ve used it for years but the last 2 cans I’ve had haven’t done the trick, and it’s not working, I never sweat with it now I do

Dieu · 25/04/2020 23:12

Eek. Sounds like they have changed the formula then. My rhino hide wouldn't notice! Grin

violetbunny · 25/04/2020 23:20

Yep I have the same reaction to it.

Horehound · 25/04/2020 23:22

No it is great for me. The only one that works!

Stillfunny · 25/04/2020 23:25

Ah , I thought it was just me . And have been trying to figure put if it was washing powder, shower gel , soap ...
Too bad as I always used it and found it great, even during menopausal sweats.

1Morewineplease · 25/04/2020 23:25

I use it all the time.. I’ll keep an eye...

PullUpsAreTricky · 25/04/2020 23:28

this happened to me, redness and soreness. The first one was fine, the next one had problems

CurlyhairedAssassin · 25/04/2020 23:29

I use the roll-on “shower fresh”fragrance one. It seems to months and I bought my current one weeks back when I was running low. Started using it last week and haven’t had a problem sofar.

StrawberrySquash · 25/04/2020 23:33

I hope not. I just stocked up. Bottle I'm using probably isn't a recent purchase.

EveryDayIsADuvetDay · 25/04/2020 23:37

I use it most of the time - but the mostly the roll on or less often the solid stick formula; I've not used the aerosol in a couple of years. Never had a problem with it.
What version are you using @OiYouNotYouYou?

Rose789 · 25/04/2020 23:39

Yes! I tried the roll on one and sweet Jesus the rash took weeks to clear up.
I used to use it years ago and thought I’d give it another try never again I’ll stick to my usual.

QualityFeet · 25/04/2020 23:40

I use the roll on in unscented and my new bottle has a different smell to normal so I presume the formula has changed.

Greenmarmalade · 25/04/2020 23:40

Yes! It burned horribly.

BrightYellowDaffodil · 25/04/2020 23:46

I had the same reaction. However, that side effect diminished over time. Eventually I didn’t need to use it at all any more.

Mumthedogsbeensick · 25/04/2020 23:47

Yes the roll on made my armpits red sore and itchy. DS uses the aerosol and he has had no problems at all. I've gone back to Sure roll on as I've always been okay with that.

MrsClatterbuck · 25/04/2020 23:48

I've been using the gel one which I bought in North America for the last year and a bit. No problems so far. I always stock up when I am over there. The gel here works out a lot more expensive,

Likethebattle · 25/04/2020 23:58

Yes!i loved it as it was the best but I had seriously itchy underarms and had to change :(

changemynamechangemynamewhen · 26/04/2020 00:28

Yes but it didn't affect my armpits but a bit further down
Was really bad itchy eczema
