Early weaning

I don't usually do mums groups on Facebook but I joined a due date group for my DD born in December.

I genuinely might have to leave this one though!

There is multiple posts going up a day regarding early weaning. I saw one yesterday of a 3.5 month old having baby rice and one today of a 4 month old with a cracker. There's at least 20-30 comments on each posts on with people all talking about their weaning journey so far (no babies older than 5 months).

I put a comment on probably the 10th one I'd seen with them asking what 'snacks' everyone is giving them just stating none until 6 months, no one should be unless medically advised.

Anyway, I (and another saying the same thing) got completely ganged up on in the comments section. Countless people saying to mind your business, not your baby so no opinion, 'I bet you're a textbook first time mum' etc etc.

Is that right? Should I be minding my own business with these posts? (completely open to the answer 'yes' if you think so!!)
Has anyone else experienced this on these Facebook groups? I've never seen any weaning that early before!

I’m in two minds here, I also agree with weaning at 6mo (although we had to wean our youngest at 5mo under dieticians advice due to awful reflux and it was the best decision ever!) but then I also really really believe in not mum shaming. Some cultures/countries have different advice for all sorts of things related to babies and they are always such sensitive topics and people can get really crazy over them. One comment to say it’s not usually recommended is probably okay if no one else has said it, but usually I just keep scrolling unless something looks really really dangerous (although 3.5 months is crazy early!)
