How on earth are Whizz Air allowed to start flying again on Friday? I can’t believe that Coronavirus is nowhere near under control and they seem to think it’s fine to start flying to places such as Tenerife and Portugal again.

I'm surprised that other countries would want us!!

I've JUST read this and said to DH it's all very well them saying they'd be disinfecting the planes etc - what about the people arriving into Lisbon and Tenerife and wherever else they're flying to and potentially taking covid-19 with them! It seems a ridiculous plan and will just continue the spread.

WizzAir aren’t going to force you into the plane. It’s optional to purchase a ticket, therefore you can chose to stay in your house and socially isolate/distance should you wish. With the number of airlines in trouble and other countries already lifting restrictions, it’s not surprising that a Hungarian registered airline is flying again.

I do realise they cannot force you onto a plane but with air travel being available again people will use it and the virus won’t stop spreading 🤷‍♀️

Nothing will be open anyway so I imagine the flights will mainly be used by people going home or staying long term with family rather than holiday makers

Many countries they are flying to, have closed internal borders , so I guess it will be people trying to get to the home . I think it's a bit crazy but I guess they know their business and if there is a market

On another thread about this a poster asked how people thought theyd get to their destination from the airport when lockdown is still in place. It was an interesting thread!
