Any Australians or new Zealanders stand at the end of their driveway this morning.
It was quite emotional standing there especially opposite my neighbour who was in the army he got quite upset.
I was actually really disappointed I didn't see much people come out but hopefully they paid their respects in other ways

We did. I lit the mozzie candles. We had half a dozen in our little cul de sac circuit. Our Vietnam Vet read the ode and played the Last Post and Reveille on a microphone ( a bit off time from the ABC). He then toddled off to sort out the flags at the memorial.

It was nice. Learning that ceremonies can be intimate and no worse for that is, I think, going to be one of the takeaways from this whole period of life.

Cousins did, too.

I know my mother did. My sister manages an RSA, and the bugler went and played the last post, and they laid a wreath.

Exactly, we usually go to the dawn service every year so this one will be one to remember

Nope, was just another day here but thats no different to a normal no corona year. I openly admit i aint dragging my ass out of bed before dawn lol

I dont think town did much at all in general, there was no reminders of the driveway thing on local noticeboard or a call out for residents to do it.

I didn't, I lit a candle instead. I prefer to mark it in private.
