to want to move?

I’ve been isolating for 7 weeks now and it’s actually given me lots of time to think about my life. I’m not happy and one of the reasons is I really don’t like where I’m living. The area is busy/commuter belt and the peace/quiet during lockdown has been lovely. I can’t walk anywhere nice from here. I’m in the middle of a housing estate in the middle of a nothing town. I’m not sure how we ended up here really. We also have really struggled to make decent friends here. Anyway all of this has made me realise I want a fresh start after lockdown. I really don’t know where to go though. AIBU to ask you if you love where you live? If you do, where is it? I’m thinking I’d love maybe seaside/friendly community/views/non London. Still need access to good schools. If you love where you live and it’s near good schools where is it please and maybe add a photo of why? Thanks!

we were planning on going on the market in sept this year but now it looks like that is being delayed, wanted to move years ago, have been waitting for the dc to grow up and just as they were all ready to move, lockdown and furlong came in

It’s so frustrating for you I bet. I’ve wanted to move for ages but this has just made me realise how lonely and isolated I am. I’ve just been treading water in my life. I want to live somewhere that I love. Somewhere I can make good friends. Somewhere people aren’t busy busy busy all the time. I grew up on a street where the neighbours used to “pop in” and all the kids used to play together. I want that!

hope it all works out for us both in the not too distant future, look at this virus thing as being a huge blip in life but there is life after it and we'llget to where we want to be.
